Quick Thinking!

L-Sleeping or "camping" in the living room until we get the sleeping arrangements with J figured out. Pretty sure we are going with Twin beds. She and mommy have adapted a no yelling policy. It has worked pretty well the past couple days! But like daddy said, "It's easier when everyone sleeps!".

J-she is sleeping in the big bed for the time being. Speech therapy went SO great this week! She started saying "bubbles" and "pop". Since then, she started saying "Hi!". She's going really well!

M-Our big little boy is rolling over and trying to crawl and he can't even sit up yet! He has a left ear infection and a left eye infection. He's still a sweetie though!

Our house...

Is a Very Very Very Fine House! :) OK, once again, I am just way behind. I'm not going to apologize for it...we all know it will happen again! :) So, to catch up...

LAYLA-
Well, we got Layla signed up for Pre-school for the Fall. She will be going 3 days a week. She is VERY excited and asks me about every other day whether or not it is fall yet or how far away is fall. She is growing so much. I can't remember if I posted this before, but she has moved out of the car seat and is now in just a booster. She can buckle herself in. As much as I am happy to not have to do it anymore, it makes me a little sad. I know that it is just one of the many things that are coming that she will no longer need help with. She has become a 4 year old that is going on 16. It is crazy. The way she talks, you can just tell how smart she is. She is wonderful with Marshall and is tolerating Jillian as best she can. She and Jilly are now sharing a bed at night which has made for interesting evenings around here, but they are doing better about not keeping each other up all night! She is such a sweetheart and I am so proud of her.

JILLIAN-
After many many worries about Jillian's lack of speech, we decided to have her tested by First Steps. She is definitely delayed in her speech. So, she is seeing a speech therapist (Kathleen) once a week. It is pretty neat, she comes to the house and plays with Jillian. She is doing OK with it. She is learning more signs to help her communicate with us. Off the top of my head, she signs more, please, eat, thank you, you're welcome, open, bath, sleep, and milk. She doesn't use them all the time, but we are getting there. She is VERY loving and likes to give hugs and kisses. She wants to hang out with sissy all the time and loves to give Marshall (Bubby) mooches. She really likes books and puzzles and will sit and just "read" a book. It is very cute!

MARSHALL-
Well, my 4 month old little boy, isn't so little! We went to the doctor yesterday and he is 16 pounds, 10 oz. and 26 inches long. That puts him in the 75th-90th percentile, but doc says he is completely proportionate. She told me to be prepared for him to want to roll over soon. I laughed and told her he has been rolling over for about a month! That's right, our little man is somewhat mobile! He rolls onto his tummy and is even starting to pull his knees up under him and try and move! This is CRAZY! He is not old enough for that! He is so sweet. He laughs and giggles. He has the most adorable dimple in his left cheek. He still has blue eyes and I am hoping so much that they stay that way. He is a growing boy that is for sure. He is in 6-9 months clothes. He has started sleeping in his crib at night which is AWESOME! He is still nursing well, but is teething so I don't know how much longer we will be nursing. Oh well, at least he is growing!

ERIC AND I AND OTHER GOINGS ON-
Well, Eric has been busy running a lot. He is preparing to run a 1/2 marathon in Geist. He has been having "boys night out" with some friends once a week and I am really glad...he needs that!
I started a Biggest Loser Contest. So far I have lost a total of 20 pounds. I have 5 more pounds and will reach my goal for the entire contest, which doesn't end until 4/26. I hope to win...it is a pretty big pot! But, it is more important that I am getting healthier and looking better. I am working out a lot and eating better. It has become a good thing for me.
Eric and I's anniversary is Saturday. I don't think we are doing anything special, but I can' believe we will have been married for 6 years! CRAZY!
So, that is it in the Crowell household. Busy busy busy!

Catch Up

Ok, playing catch up here! :)

December 13th...Marshall's Baptism. It was so nice! His GodParents are Jen and Bill Barneclo and Carli Davis. We had a wonderful visit with friends and family at our house afterwards. Thank you to everyone for making that day so special for Marshall (even if he won't remember it!)

Christmas...what a great time we had! Christmas Eve we went to Eric's mom and dad's house for the Crowell Christmas. It was a great night! We had wonderful food and lots of fun watching the kiddos play. I can't imagine what next year will be like with both Josh and Marshall walking around! Watch out girls! Christmas Day we spent here at home, Eric's mom and dad came over for lunch. It was a very relaxing day (in between the sharing fights of the girls!). My folks came up on that Sunday then to spend the day, but ended up not being able to stay TOO long due to the massive amount of snow! Layla went with them for a couple of days and Jilly and Marshall and I went there on Tuesday. We stayed there for the New Year. It was a WONDERFUL holiday season.

I took Marshall for his 2 month appointment on the 29th. He is weighin in at 14 pounds 7 ounces and is 23 inches long! He is such a big boy! Doc said he was in great shape! I am so glad! He is much happier now so hopefully the colic is on its way out!

Love,
Theresa

Forgot...M at 4 weeks!

I had to take M to the doc last Wedesday (the 25th) because he had been SO grumpy and crying all the time. He had pretty much 3 moods: eating, sleeping, and screaming, that was it. He also snorted a lot like his sinuses were always stuffed, especially when he was sleeping. So, we went to the doctor. Doc said that it sounds like Colic...duh duh duh...and gave me some suggestions to help. Well, while we were there, they weighed him to make sure he was getting enough to eat. WOW...our little man weighed in at 12 pounds 3 ounces! That means he gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks. So, Yeah, I would say he is getting enough! They had me change how I am nursing him too. How it works know is that he can eat when he wants, but in a 3 hour time period, he can ONLY eat on one side. Then after that 3 hours, I can put him on the other side for a 3 hour time period. Apparently it is supposed to help...Not sure yet.

The Sunday before Thanksgiving we headed to Aunt Rebecca's and Uncle Jeff's house for the Crowell Thankgiving dinner. We had a really nice time even though Richard, Tiffiny, and Josh weren't there. THey were all sick. Grandma and Grandpa brought Sarah, so we were happy to see her!

Then on Thanksgiving day, we headed down to New Castle! I haven't been to New Castle in about 6 months! It was so great to go! We first were at Aunt Nancy's and then went to Aunt Sheri and Uncle Scott's house. We ate WAY too much! But, it was great to see everyone. I have missed my family so much. Eric left the kiddos and me there and drove Mom's Intrepid back and we stayed until Sunday. We didn't do much exciting, but it was a great visit. Then on Sunday Mom came back with me so she could get her car. All in all it was a wonderful Thankgiving. Now, onto Christmas!! :)

Love,
Theresa
